On the other hand, bank's customer deposit growth amounted to 2.75% at the end of 2017, up from -2.18% when compared to the previous year. Historically, the bank’s deposit growth reached an all time high of 108% in 2008 and an all time low of -2.18% in 2016. In the last decade, the average annual loan growth amounted to 20.5%.
At the end of 2017, OTP Bank Romania's loans accounted for 107% of total deposits and 75.6% of total assets.
