Passenger cars per 1,000 people rose 2.69% to 493 vehicles in Bulgaria in 2019, according to the National Statistical Office.

Historically, passenger cars per 1,000 people in Bulgaria reached an all time high of 493 vehicles in 2019 and an all time low of 19.4 vehicles in 1970. When compared to Bulgaria's main peers, passenger cars per 1,000 people in Greece amounted to 481 vehicles, 265 vehicles in Romania, 212 vehicles in Serbia and 149 vehicles in Turkey in 2019.
