This translates into a net margin of 5.85%. Historically, the firm’s net margin reached an all time high of 11.5% in 2010 and an all time low of 4.69% in 2008. The average net margin in the last five years amounted to 7.10%.
On the operating level, EBITDA margin reached 9.02% and EBIT amounted to 16.7% of sales in 2015.
As far as PGNiG's peers are concerned, PKN posted net and EBITDA margin of 3.21% and 7.06%, respectively in 2015, MOL generated margins of -6.25% and 15.8% and OMV Petrom's profit margin reached -3.73% on the net and 34.3% on the EBITDA level in 2015.
