Piraeus Bank Group is a Greece-based financial group providing various banking products and services in the Southeastern Europe, Greece, Western Europe, and Egypt.
Despite the impressive retail loan book expansion in the last years (mortgage and consumer loans have risen 4-fold and 3-fold, respectively, since 206), Piraeus remains a corporate-oriented bank. At the end of 2014, corporate loans represented 73% of total Bank's loan book, compared to "only" 66% back in 2006.
On the deposit side, however, more than three quarters of customer deposits were coming from retail clients at the end of 2014.
