Price of Cigarettes (As % of Average U.S. Price) fell 32.1% to 7.78% in Rwanda in 2016

Price of cigarettes as a percentage of average U.S. price fell 32.1% to 7.78% in Rwanda in 2016, according to the National Statistical Office.

Historically, price of cigarettes as a percentage of average U.S. price in Rwanda reached an all time high of 19.4% in 2008 and an all time low of 7.78% in 2016. When compared to Rwanda's main peers, price of cigarettes as a percentage of average U.S. price in Burundi amounted to 14.9%, 21.5% in Tanzania, 11.5% in Uganda and 13.2% in Dem. Republic of the Congo in 2016.
