Price of cigarettes as a percentage of average U.S. price rose 1.44% to 145% in Israel in 2016, according to the National Statistical Office.

Historically, price of cigarettes as a percentage of average U.S. price in Israel reached an all time high of 145% in 2016 and an all time low of 94.7% in 2012. When compared to Israel's main peers, price of cigarettes as a percentage of average U.S. price in Egypt amounted to 17.6%, 30.6% in Jordan, 33.6% in Lebanon and 4.20% in Syria in 2016.
