Historically, price of cigarettes as a percentage of average U.S. price in Turkey reached an all time high of 69.7% in 2016 and an all time low of 43.0% in 2008. When compared to Turkey's main peers, price of cigarettes as a percentage of average U.S. price in Bulgaria amounted to 43.2%, 69.2% in Greece, 13.2% in Iraq and 9.02% in Iran in 2016.
