Production of cars as a share of worldwide production fell 12.4% to 1.55% in Russia in 2016, according to ACEA.
Historically, production of cars as a share of worldwide production in Russia reached an all time high of 3.12% in 2012 and an all time low of 1.25% in 2009. When compared to Russia's main peers, production of cars as a share of worldwide production in China amounted to 33.7%, 7.94% in Germany, 10.9% in Japan and 5.41% in USA in 2016.
Russia has been ranked 14th within the group of 49 countries we follow in terms of production of cars as a share of worldwide production, 2 places below the position seen 10 years ago.
