Production of passenger cars rose 34.3% to 1,188 thousand in Iran in 2016, according to ACEA.

Historically, production of passenger cars in Iran reached an all time high of 1,413 thousand in 2011 and an all time low of 69.0 thousand in 1996.

Iran has been ranked 13th within the group of 49 countries we follow in terms of production of passenger cars, 2 places above the position seen 10 years ago.
