Historically, production of passenger cars in Vietnam reached an all time high of 146 '000 in 2016 and an all time low of 29.9 '000 in 2011. When compared to Vietnam's main peers, production of passenger cars in China amounted to 24,421 '000 and 805 '000 in Thailand in 2016.
