Raiffeisenbank Serbia's non-performing loans reached 10.2% of total loans at the end of 2012, down from 12.8% when compared to the previous year. Historically, the NPL ratio hit an all time high of 12.8% in 2011 and an all time low of 4.94% in 2009.
Provision coverage amounted to 82.6% at the end of 2012, up from 57.7% compared to a year earlier.
The bank created loan loss provisions worth of 1.47% of average loans in 2012. That's compared to 2.35% of loans the bank put aside to its cost on average in the last five years.
When compared to bank's main peers, Komercijalna Banka Beograd operated at the end of 2012 with NPL ratio of 16.3% and provision coverage of 38.2%, Bank Intesa Serbia with 13.8% and 46.1% respectively and Societe Generale Serbia had 7.81% of bad loans covered with 51.0% by provisions at the end of 2012.
