Sales of cars as a share of worldwide production fell 7.74% to 1.78% in Russia in 2016, according to ACEA.
Historically, sales of cars as a share of worldwide production in Russia reached an all time high of 5.80% in 2008 and an all time low of 1.78% in 2016. When compared to Russia's main peers, sales of cars as a share of worldwide production in China amounted to 35.1%, 4.82% in Germany, 5.97% in Japan and 9.89% in USA in 2016.
Russia has been ranked 12th within the group of 139 countries we follow in terms of sales of cars as a share of worldwide production, 4 places below the position seen 10 years ago.
