Sales of passenger cars fell 0.261% yoy to 17.6 thousand in Austria in December 2022, according to ACEA. This is 3.17% less than in the previous month.

Historically, sales of passenger cars in Austria reached an all time high of 51.3 thousand in May 1996 and an all time low of 7.68 thousand in December 1993. When compared to Austria's main peers, sales of passenger cars in Germany amounted to 314 thousand, 8.00 thousand in Hungary, 105 thousand in Italy and 24.7 thousand in Switzerland in December 2022.
