Sales of passenger cars fell 12.2% to 198 thousand in Denmark in 2020, according to ACEA.

Historically, sales of passenger cars in Denmark reached an all time high of 226 thousand in 2019 and an all time low of 63.7 thousand in 1960. When compared to Denmark's main peers, sales of passenger cars in Germany amounted to 2,918 thousand, 358 thousand in Netherlands, 141 thousand in Norway and 292 thousand in Sweden in 2020.

Denmark has been ranked 13th within the group of 30 countries we follow in terms of sales of passenger cars, 25 places above the position seen 10 years ago.
