Sales of passenger cars fell 19.0% yoy to 194 thousand in Germany in February 2021, according to ACEA. This is 14.5% more than in the previous month.

Historically, sales of passenger cars in Germany reached an all time high of 553 thousand in July 1991 and an all time low of 121 thousand in April 2020. When compared to Germany's main peers, sales of passenger cars in Austria amounted to 19.9 thousand, 36.5 thousand in Belgium, 133 thousand in France and 37.8 thousand in Poland in February 2021.
