Sales of passenger cars fell 24.0% yoy to 17.1 in Austria in May 2022, according to ACEA. This is 4.54% more than in the previous month.
Historically, sales of passenger cars in Austria reached an all time high of 51.3 in May 1996 and an all time low of 7.68 in December 1993. When compared to Austria's main peers, sales of passenger cars in Germany amounted to 207, 10.1 in Hungary, 121 in Italy and 18.5 in Switzerland in May 2022.
Austria has been ranked 12th within the group of 30 countries we follow in terms of sales of passenger cars, 4 places below the position seen 10 years ago.
