Sales of passenger cars fell 39.2% yoy to 14.8 thousand in Austria in October 2021, according to ACEA. This is 17.4% less than in the previous month.
Historically, sales of passenger cars in Austria reached an all time high of 51.3 thousand in May 1996 and an all time low of 7.68 thousand in December 1993. When compared to Austria's main peers, sales of passenger cars in Germany amounted to 179 thousand, 9.13 thousand in Hungary, 101 thousand in Italy and 15.1 thousand in Switzerland in October 2021.
