Sales of passenger cars fell 7.71% yoy to 18.5 in Switzerland in May 2022, according to ACEA. This is 17.9% more than in the previous month.

Historically, sales of passenger cars in Switzerland reached an all time high of 40.0 in June 2012 and an all time low of 9.38 in April 2020. When compared to Switzerland's main peers, sales of passenger cars in Austria amounted to 17.1, 127 in France, 207 in Germany and 121 in Italy in May 2022.

Switzerland has been ranked 10th within the group of 30 countries we follow in terms of sales of passenger cars, 1 place below the position seen 10 years ago.
