Sales of passenger cars rose 16.0% yoy to 18.1 thousand in Switzerland in April 2023, according to ACEA. This is 27.9% less than in the previous month.

Historically, sales of passenger cars in Switzerland reached an all time high of 40.0 thousand in June 2012 and an all time low of 9.38 thousand in April 2020. When compared to Switzerland's main peers, sales of passenger cars in Austria amounted to 18.5 thousand, 133 thousand in France, 203 thousand in Germany and 126 thousand in Italy in April 2023.
