Sales of passenger cars rose 21.0% yoy to 105 thousand in Italy in December 2022, according to ACEA. This is 12.5% less than in the previous month.
Historically, sales of passenger cars in Italy reached an all time high of 310 thousand in January 1990 and an all time low of 4.28 thousand in April 2020. When compared to Italy's main peers, sales of passenger cars in Austria amounted to 17.6 thousand, 158 thousand in France, 2.53 thousand in Slovenia and 24.7 thousand in Switzerland in December 2022.
Italy has been ranked 4th within the group of 30 countries we follow in terms of sales of passenger cars.
