Sales of passenger cars rose 35.7% yoy to 2.49 thousand in Iceland in June 2022, according to ACEA. This is 12.1% more than in the previous month.

Historically, sales of passenger cars in Iceland reached an all time high of 3.85 thousand in May 2017 and an all time low of 0.046 thousand in December 2008. When compared to Iceland's main peers, sales of passenger cars in Denmark amounted to 14.8 thousand, 14.9 thousand in Norway, 26.1 thousand in Sweden and 141 thousand in United Kingdom in June 2022.
