Sales of passenger cars fell 49.5% yoy to 99.7 thousand in Italy in May 2020, according to ACEA. This is 2.00% more than in the previous month.
Historically, sales of passenger cars in Italy reached an all time high of 310 thousand in January 1990 and an all time low of 4.28 thousand in April 2020. When compared to Italy's main peers, sales of passenger cars in Austria amounted to 20.2 thousand, 96.3 thousand in France, 5.09 thousand in Slovenia and 13.9 thousand in Switzerland in May 2020.
