Historically, sales of passenger cars in Vietnam reached an all time high of 160 '000 in 2016 and an all time low of 23.3 '000 in 2006. When compared to Vietnam's main peers, sales of passenger cars in Cambodia amounted to 0.800 '000, 24,377 '000 in China, 4.20 '000 in Laos and 328 '000 in Thailand in 2016.
Vietnam has been ranked 41st within the group of 139 countries we follow in terms of sales of passenger cars, 33 places above the position seen 10 years ago.
