Travel Agencies generate revenues of approximately CZK 20-25 bil in the Czech Republic, on our estimates. Czechs have been paying more for their holiday (more than CZK 12,000 per person), but number of trips remains stable, or declines in the last years.
Slovakia remains the most favorite destination of Czech tourists with nearly a million trips a year. Together with Croatia, Austria, Italy and Greece, these five destinations form 60% of all holiday trips:
There are interesting differences between prices of an organised trip, based on figures released by Invia, market's largest online aggregator. While average trip to Croatia, or France amounts to only CZK 6-7,000 per person, a package to Egypt, or Turkey would cost you at least twice as much (more than 15,000).
