This translates into a net margin of 2.94%. Historically, the firm’s net margin reached an all time high of 10.5% in 2016 and an all time low of -4.55% in 2009. The average net margin in the last five years amounted to 2.07%.
On the operating level, EBITDA margin reached 1.21% and EBIT amounted to 6.04% of sales in 2017.
As far as SEAT's peers are concerned, Skoda Auto posted net and EBITDA margin of 7.82% and 15.4%, respectively in 2017, PSA Peugeot Citroen generated margins of 2.96% and 8.84% and Renault's profit margin reached 8.70% on the net and 11.7% on the EBITDA level in 2017.
