Share of population using internet reached 84.6 % in 2017 in Spain, according to World Bank. This is 5.02 % more than in the previous year.

Historically, share of population using internet in Spain reached an all time high of 84.6 % in 2017 and an all time low of 13.6 % in 2000. When compared to Spain's main peers, share of population using internet in France amounted to 80.5 %, 61.3 % in Italy, 61.8 % in Morocco and 73.8 % in Portugal in 2017.

Spain has been ranked 18th within the group of 72 countries we follow in terms of share of population using internet, 14 places above the position seen 10 years ago.

The percentage of individuals using the internet in the developed world had reached 70% by the end of 2011, according to ITU.
