Tax revenue rose 15.9% to KZT 4,662 bil in Kazakhstan in 2016, according to the National Statistical Office.

Historically, tax revenue in Kazakhstan reached an all time high of KZT 5,771 bil in 2013 and an all time low of KZT 113 bil in 1997. When compared to Kazakhstan's main peers, tax revenue in China amounted to CNY 6,809 bil, KGS 80.7 bil in Kyrgyzstan, RUB 7,862 bil in Russia and UZS 34,311 bil in Uzbekistan in 2016.
