Historically, tax revenue in East Timor reached an all time high of USD 1.71 bil in 2012 and an all time low of USD 0.248 bil in 2016. When compared to East Timor's main peers, tax revenue in Australia amounted to AUD 427 bil, IDR 1,518,026 bil in Indonesia, MYR 174 bil in Malaysia and PGK 10.5 bil in Papua New Guinea in 2018.
