Taxes on income, profits and capital gains reached 4,279 UGX bil in 2017 in Uganda, according to the National Statistical Office. This is 12.3 % more than in the previous year.

Historically, taxes on income, profits and capital gains in Uganda reached an all time high of 4,279 UGX bil in 2017 and an all time low of 115 UGX bil in 1998. When compared to Uganda's main peers, taxes on income, profits and capital gains in Kenya amounted to 627 KES bil and 404 RWF bil in Rwanda in 2017.
