Rotten Wi-Fi, a testing service that evaluates public Wi-Fi networks based on speed and customer satisfaction, says Washington state provides the best WiFi for their residents and guests.

Washington provides the Internt connection with average download speed of 24.57 Mbps and 17.16 Mbps upload, where average clients’ satisfaction rank is 5.82 out of 10, based on NPS (Net Promoter Score) method. Two and a half times slower WiFi is in California where average download speed reached 10.09 Mbps and upload – 5 Mbps.

Rotten Wi-Fi says its user base has measured and evaluated the quality of public Wi-Fi hotspots in 172 countries around the world.

The majority of countries in the Top 20 are located in Europe, only couple in America and one in Asia. Leading position is taken by Lithuania with the avg. download speed of 15.4 Mbps (and upload – 14.2 Mbps), not far behind Croatia and Estonia
