Total dependency ratio fell 1.88% to 46.9% in Kosovo in 2021, according to the National Statistical Office.

Historically, total dependency ratio in Kosovo reached an all time high of 96.7% in 1963 and an all time low of 46.9% in 2021. When compared to Kosovo's main peers, total dependency ratio in Albania amounted to 48.2%, 44.6% in Macedonia, 52.5% in Montenegro and 53.8% in Serbia in 2021.
