United Bulgarian Bank's non-performing loans reached 19.3% of total loans at the end of 2015, down from 20.5% when compared to the previous year. Historically, the NPL ratio hit an all time high of 20.5% in 2014 and an all time low of 0.858% in 2008.

Provision coverage amounted to 78.8% at the end of 2015, down from 84.9% compared to a year earlier.

The bank created loan loss provisions worth of 3.50% of average loans in 2015. That's compared to 3.38% of loans the bank put aside to its cost on average in the last five years.

When compared to bank's main peers, DSK Bank operated at the end of 2015 with NPL ratio of 15.1% and provision coverage of 93.9% and Raiffeisenbank Bulgaria with 11.0% and 66.3% respectively.
