United Bulgarian Bank's capital adequacy ratio reached 24.3% at the end of 2017, down from 24.3% compared to the previous year. Historically, the bank’s capital ratio hit an all time high of 28.2% in 2015 and an all time low of 12.8% in 2010.
The Tier 1 ratio amounted to 24.3% at the end of 2017, up from 23.3% compared to a year earlier.
Bank's loan to deposit ratio reached 56.0% at the end of 2017, down from 69.3% when compared to the previous year.
Comparing United Bulgarian Bank with its closest peers, DSK Bank ended the year 2017 with a capital adequacy ratio at 17.1% and loans to deposits of 66.2%, UniCredit Bulbank with 27.3% and 68.5% respectively and Raiffeisenbank Bulgaria some 31.6% in terms of capital adequacy and 82.2% of loans to deposits at the end of 2017.
