Vietnam Export Import Bank's non-performing loans reached 1.71% of total loans at the end of 2019-12-31, down from 1.85% compared to the previous year. Historically, the NPL ratio hit an all time high of 5.30% in 2016-06-30 and an all time low of 1.33% in 2013-03-31.
Provision coverage amounted to 55.5% at the end of 2019-12-31, down from 55.8% compared to a year earlier.
The bank created loan loss provisions worth of 2.16% of average loans in 2019-12-31. That's compared to 0.827% of loans the bank put aside to its cost on average in the last five years.
