VTB Bank 's capital adequacy ratio reached 14.3% at the end of 2015, up from 12.0% when compared to the previous year. Historically, the bank’s capital ratio hit an all time high of 20.7% in 2009 and an all time low of 12.0% in 2014.

The Tier 1 ratio amounted to 124% at the end of 2015, up from 9.80% compared to a year earlier.

Bank's loan to deposit ratio reached 130% at the end of 2015, down from 151% when compared to the previous year.

When compared to bank's main peers, Sberbank ended the year 2015 with a capital adequacy ratio at 12.6% and loans to deposits of 94.6% and Alfa Bank with 21.7% and 114% respectively.
