Based on a comparison of 148 countries in 2017, Luxembourg ranked the highest in bank assets as a share of GDP with 1,302% followed by Switzerland and United Kingdom. On the other end of the scale was Chad with 19.2%, Central African Republic with 20.4% and Afghanistan with 21.0%.
