Based on a comparison of 124 countries in 2017, Maldives ranked the highest in bank tier 1 ratio with 36.3% followed by Central African Republic and Equatorial Guinea. On the other end of the scale was Bangladesh with 7.98%, Nigeria with 8.43% and Nicaragua with 8.45%.
