Erste Bank Austria reported total revenues of EUR 3,255 mil, up 2.18% compared to the previous year. Historically, the bank’s revenues containing of interest, fee and other non-interest income reached an all time high of EUR 3,255 mil in 2017 and an all time low of EUR 2,187 mil in 2007. The average revenue in the last five years amounted to EUR 3,113 mil.
Bank's total revenues accounted for 2.26% of total assets in 2017, up from 2.30% a year earlier.
Comparing Erste Bank Austria with its closest peers, Bank Austria Group generated total revenues of EUR 1,787 mil, or 1.75% of assets in 2017, Erste Savings Banks operated with EUR 1,493 mil total income, or 2.48% revenue margin and BAWAG Group produced total income worth EUR 1,138 mil, or 2.47% of assets.
Austrian banking sector generated total revenues of EUR 19,521 mil in 2017, up 2.83% when compared to the previous year. As a result, the top ranked company - Erste Bank Austria accounted for 16.7% of the sector’s total income in 2017. The top 3 companies held a 33.5% share while the five largest firms some 44.7% in 2017.
