Based on a comparison of 20 banks in Czechia in 1Q2017, Fio banka operated with the lowest loan to deposit ratio, followed by PPF Banka and Banka Creditas.

Fio banka's loan to deposit ratio reached 22.0% at the end of 1Q2017, up from 17.7% when compared to the previous quarter and down from 27.9% when compared to the same period of last year. Historically, the bank’s loans to deposits hit an all time high of 42.6% in 1Q2012 and an all time low of 17.7% in 4Q2016.

When compared to the nearest peers, PPF Banka ended the year 1Q2017 with loans to deposits at 26.2%, Banka Creditas with 36.1% and Air Bank some 42.5% of loans to deposits at the end of 1Q2017.

Overall, total loans of the Czech banking sector amounted to 73.4% of deposits at the end of 1Q2017.
