Hypotecni Banka's cost to income ratio reached 19.7% in 2Q2017, down from 27.9% when compared to the previous quarter and up from 18.1% when compared to the same period of last year. Historically, the bank’s costs reached an all time high of 77.0% in 4Q2002 and an all time low of -93.3% in 4Q2000.
When compared to total assets, bank's cost amounted to 1.39% in 2Q2017, down from 0.375% a year earlier.
When compared to the nearest peers, PPF Banka operated in 2Q2017 with a cost to income ratio of 21.4%, Stavebni Sporitelna Ceske Sporitelny reached 37.8% and UniCredit Bank Czecho-Slovakia some 38.5%.
The average cost to income ratio reached 37.0% in the Czech banking sector in 2Q2017.
