Based on a comparison of 13 banks in Philippines in 2018, EastWest Bank was the most cost efficient bank, followed by Security Bank and Asia United Bank.

EastWest Bank's cost to income ratio reached 39.7% in 2018, down from 36.0% when compared to the last year. Historically, the bank’s costs reached an all time high of 58.0% in 2012 and an all time low of 35.0% in 2016.

When compared to total assets, bank's cost amounted to 1.39% in 2018, down from 3.05% a year earlier.
