Based on a comparison of 11 banks in Poland in 2Q2016, Bank BPH operated with the lowest loan to deposit ratio, followed by Bank Handlowy and Bank Ochrony Srodowiska.

Bank BPH's loan to deposit ratio reached 53.2% at the end of 2Q2016, down from 113% when compared to the previous quarter and down from 85.5% when compared to the same period of last year. Historically, the bank’s loans to deposits hit an all time high of 113% in 1Q2016 and an all time low of 53.2% in 2Q2016.

When compared to the nearest peers, Bank Handlowy ended the year 2Q2016 with loans to deposits at 54.6%, Bank Ochrony Srodowiska with 81.5% and ING Bank Slaski some 83.8% of loans to deposits at the end of 2Q2016.

Overall, total loans of the Polish banking sector amounted to 78.1% of deposits at the end of 2Q2016.
