mBank's cost to income ratio reached 39.6% in 4Q2016, down from 40.9% when compared to the previous quarter and down from 50.6% when compared to the same period of last year. Historically, the bank’s costs reached an all time high of 188% in 4Q2004 and an all time low of 32.5% in 2Q2001.
When compared to total assets, bank's cost amounted to 1.39% in 4Q2016, down from 2.09% a year earlier.
When compared to the nearest peers, Santander Bank Polska operated in 4Q2016 with a cost to income ratio of 41.4%, PKO BP reached 42.9% and Bank Millennium some 52.1%.
The average cost to income ratio reached 49.4% in the Polish banking sector in 4Q2016.
