mBank's cost to income ratio reached 36.3% in 4Q2017, up from 36.2% when compared to the previous quarter and down from 39.6% when compared to the same period of last year. Historically, the bank’s costs reached an all time high of 188% in 4Q2004 and an all time low of 32.5% in 2Q2001.
When compared to total assets, bank's cost amounted to 1.39% in 4Q2017, up from 1.49% a year earlier.
When compared to the nearest peers, PKO BP operated in 4Q2017 with a cost to income ratio of 41.2%, Santander Bank Polska reached 43.5% and Bank Millennium some 46.4%.
The average cost to income ratio reached 46.2% in the Polish banking sector in 4Q2017.
