Based on a comparison of 18 banks in Serbia in 2017, Bank Intesa Serbia generated the largest revenues, followed by Komercijalna Banka Beograd and AIK Banka.

Bank Intesa Serbia reported total revenues of RSD 30,089 mil, up 3.55% compared to the previous year. Historically, the bank’s revenues containing of interest, fee and other non-interest income reached an all time high of RSD 57,149 mil in 2012 and an all time low of RSD 2,736 mil in 2002. The average revenue in the last five years amounted to RSD 29,745 mil.

Comparing Bank Intesa Serbia with its closest peers, Komercijalna Banka Beograd generated total revenues of RSD 20,035 mil, or 5.43% of assets in 2017, AIK Banka operated with RSD 17,870 mil total income, or 8.54% revenue margin and UniCredit Bank Serbia produced total income worth RSD 17,459 mil, or 4.71% of assets.

Serbian banking sector generated total revenues of RSD 197,856 mil in 2017, up 7.42% when compared to the previous year. As a result, the top ranked company - Bank Intesa Serbia accounted for 15.2% of the sector’s total income in 2017. The top 3 companies held a 34.4% share while the five largest firms some 51.0% in 2017.
