Based on a comparison of 18 banks in Serbia in 2017, Bank Intesa Serbia was the largest deposit taker, followed by Komercijalna Banka Beograd and Raiffeisenbank Serbia.

Bank Intesa Serbia's customer deposits reached RSD 397,705 mil, up from RSD 383,453 mil, compared to the previous year. Historically, the bank’s net profit reached an all time high of RSD 397,705 mil in 2017 and an all time low of RSD 22,583 mil in 2002.

Comparing Bank Intesa Serbia with its closest peers, Komercijalna Banka Beograd's deposits amounted to RSD 292,472 mil at the end of 2017, Raiffeisenbank Serbia operated with RSD 200,906 mil of customer deposits and UniCredit Bank Serbia had clients' deposits of RSD 186,659 mil at the end of 2017.

Serbian banks had customer deposits of CZK 2,111 bil in 2017, up 3.62% when compared to the last year. As a result, the top ranked company - Bank Intesa Serbia accounted for 18.8% of the sector’s deposits in 2017. The top 3 companies held a 42.2% share while the five largest firms some 58.9% in 2017.
