Based on a comparison of 13 banks in Slovakia in 2016, Postova Banka operated with the lowest loan to deposit ratio, followed by Wustenrot Stavebna Sporitelna and Privatbanka.
Postova Banka's loan to deposit ratio reached 56.0% at the end of 2016, down from 60.9% when compared to the previous year. Historically, the bank’s loans to deposits hit an all time high of 64.2% in 2014 and an all time low of 33.6% in 2004.
Comparing Postova Banka with its closest peers, Wustenrot Stavebna Sporitelna ended the year 2016 with loans to deposits at 65.4%, Privatbanka with 65.7% and CSOB Stavebna Sporitelna some 73.1% of loans to deposits at the end of 2016.
Overall, total loans of the Slovak banking sector amounted to 78.3% of deposits at the end of 2016.
