Based on a comparison of 10 banks in Slovenia in 2016, SKB Banka was the most cost efficient bank, followed by Intesa Sanpaolo Bank Slovenia and UniCredit Bank Slovenia.

SKB Banka's cost to income ratio reached 47.8% in 2016, down from 53.0% when compared to the last year. Historically, the bank’s costs reached an all time high of 87.9% in 2001 and an all time low of 41.0% in 2005.

When compared to total assets, bank's cost amounted to 1.39% in 2016, down from 2.10% a year earlier.
