What Banks in Vietnam Were the Largest Lenders in 2018?

Based on a comparison of 15 banks in Vietnam in 2018, BIDV was the largest lender, followed by VietinBank and Vietcombank.

BIDV loans reached VND 976,334 bil, up 14.1% compared to the previous year. Historically, the bank’s loans reached an all time high of VND 976,334 bil in 2018 and an all time low of VND 125,596 bil in 2007.

Comparing BIDV with its closest peers, VietinBank customer loans amounted to VND 851,918 bil, Vietcombank operated with VND 621,573 bil loans and Sacombank had a loan portfolio of VND 253,100 bil.
