Based on a comparison of 136 countries in 2017, Switzerland ranked the highest in bank deposits as a share of GDP with 277% followed by Macao and Libya. On the other end of the scale was Chad with 9.79%, Central African Republic with 12.4% and Sudan with 13.1%.
